Active View of Reading: Active View of Reading for Bilingual Students (AVR²) AVR² is a comprehensive reader model designed specifically for bilingual and multilingual learners. It integrates the skills, attitudes, and cognitive processes essential to reading, each supported by empirical evidence from intervention studies with bilingual populations. This model emphasizes the dynamic, interactive nature of reading and highlights the unique linguistic, cognitive and dispositional assets that bilingual students bring to the reading process.
